Our research focuses on fiber and integrated optical sensors, especially for biosensing applications. We have developed fiber optic SPR and LSPR-based enzymatic and non-enzymatic biosensors using biocompatible materials like hydrogel and graphene oxide nanosheets. Optical fiber offers several advantages, including lightweight design, in-vivo and in-vitro monitoring, resistance to electromagnetic interference, and suitability for remote and real-time sensing. Our current research interests include the design and development of optical biosensing technologies, with applications in environmental monitoring, healthcare, and clinical diagnostics.
